In the absence of the 2020 Spring Annual Business Meeting, canceled because of the COVID-19 public health crisis, NCMCA contractor member firms participated in an April email election of association officers for the 2020-2022 term.   Elected President, Daniel “Danks” Burton of Pinnacle Masonry in Cary.  (Pictured)  Burton previously served as NCMCA president for the 2004-2006 term.  He is a Certified Masonry Executive (CME) in the NCMCA certification program. The new President-Elect is James “Bo” Black, Jr. of Carolina Masonry Unlimited in Willow Spring.  Black presently serves as President of the Raleigh Chapter and is also a CME.  Cliff McGee of McGee Brothers Company in Greensboro the new Secretary/Treasurer.  McGee is a CME also.  NCMCA Executive Director Lynn Nash will remain as Executive Vice President and CEO.  Regional vice presidents remain unchanged: Doug Burton, CME, of Whitman Masonry in Raleigh is Eastern Regional Vice President; Brandon Hartsell CMP of Gates Construction Company in Mooresville is Central Regional Vice President; and Don Caldwell of C & R Masonry of WNC, Candler is Western Regional Vice President.  Current NCMCA President Kent Huntley moved into the Board Chairman’s position.  Bob Gates steps down as Board Chairman after serving eight years in NCMCA executive leadership positions.  The new officers assumed their duties May 1, 2020.
