The Lehigh Cement team of, left to right, Chris Simpson, Mike Rochelle, Randy Clayton and Steve Walkman are the champions of the 2019 North Carolina Masonry Contractors Association Annual Fall Golf Tournament fundraiser for the NCMCA Sigmon Memorial Scholarship Program and other Association projects promoting masonry. Finishing in second was the Palmetto Brick Team of Dwayne Bryant, Tom Hughes, Scott Wilson, and Alex Hunter followed in third place by the 2018 defending champion WireBond team of Mike Ripley, Wade Humes, Greg Cochran and Mike McConnaughey. On course competition winners: "Beat the Pro"- Jake Burton; "Straightest Drive"- Preston Steele; "Senior Straightest Drive"- Randy Clayton; and "Closest to the Pin"- Wade Humps. Gregory Poole Equipment Company provided the Hole-in-One prize, a CAT 236D skid steer loader. It went unclaimed. The September 26th tournament was played at the Mill Creek Golf & Country Club in Mebane. Golfers enjoyed nice weather, great fellowship and a chicken barbecue prepared by the Argos USA Cement team. Mark your calendar for the 2020 tournament: always the fourth Thursday in September.
