As they have done for more than thirty-five years, Spake Concrete Products hosted graduating high school senior masonry students for a recognition luncheon in their honor May 2, 2019. Students from the two masonry programs in Cleveland County, Burns Senior High and Shelby High, were each presented a new trowel at the event held at Cleveland Country Club in Shelby. Several NCMCA member firm representatives were on hand to meet and congratulate the students as well as to encourage them to consider masonry and construction careers. Richard Shull is the masonry instructor at Burns and Jonathan Blanton instructs in the new masonry program at Shelby.
