For the second year in a row, a Huntley Brothers Company apprentice has won the NCMCA Annual Samuel A. McGee Memorial Masonry Apprentice Skills Contest. Seventeen-year-old Jamison “JK” Huntley won the 2017 David R. Sigmon Award for first place in a field of thirty contestants from nine NCMCA member companies. Finishing in second to tenth place respectively were Ellis Baucom and Kaleb McGee of McGee Brothers Company; Cory Huneycutt from Gates Construction Company; Eric Kee, Chaz Tomberlin, Haran Mcgee, and Zackery Mcgee of McGee Brothers Company; and Kelby Thornton of Huntley Brothers Company. Custom Brick & Supply Company in Raleigh hosted the contest May 20th. In the photo, Jamison (right side) with his family, left to right, brothers Landon, Drew, and Brandt with their mom and dad, Maria and Tim Huntley.  Four brothers pictured of nine total!
